#Forte agent download again free
Finally decided, because I never found a free one that worked for me, I'd throw it out there. Yea, thought of that as I was deciding to post or not. It's possible that I may have a touch of Asperger's, once I get used to doing something, I really prefer to keep doing it the same way, or at least for any changes to be as gradual as possible. Pan is very easy to use and absolutely perfect for what I need it for, other than the crashing issue. With Thundernews, I pay a small amount a month and have unlimited bandwidth, and now that I have enough steady income to afford that, I'm not worried about downloading/browsing headers, I just need a program that I'm comfortable using that will allow me to do that. I'd really prefer not to have LEO come knocking on my door, if you know what I mean. That's why I MUCH prefer to be able to pick and choose which binaries I download from those groups. I am on Windows, but I definitely want to check headers, because some of the groups I subscribe to (I'll admit it, porn groups) can have what appears to be, shall we say, "questionable" content (from the headers anyway). I pay for my Usenet provider, and prefer, if possible, not to pay for my newsreader client.Īgain, I know you guys are really trying, but you all seem to be missing these points, so I decided to edit this post to clarify things. I do NOT want to pay any amount whatsoever to use a search service or for the program itself.Open source is also perfectly acceptable.I want to look through them all, no matter how many (yes, I've went through over 1,000,000 at a time before).Īnd, finally, since everyone except /u/rememberthatone seems to be missing this one, main point: Force me to choose some search term to use to find certain headers.Let me choose which posts to read, download, or ignore.Let me go through all of those headers, at my own pace, however fast or slow.Download ALL the headers from those groups, no matter what they consist of.

Subscribe to the groups I'm interested in, and only those groups. You guys are being so helpful, and you're really trying, but you're missing the point, really.

Could anyone recommend a free/open source replacement that works as similarly as possible? I primarily use it for reading/downloading binaries (comic/image files ).

Anyway, I currently use Pan Newsreader, but it has all kinds of memory issues/crashes, especially with Windows 8 (they happened in Win7, too, just not quite as bad). Hi there! I'm submitting this as a text post because I wasn't sure of the reddiquette involved in linking to the site of my current newsreader in the title, figured it would be safer to link to it in the text. This includes hacking, using a loophole, or other methods not publicly advertised by the usenet provider. No promoting of 'backdoor' access into usenet providers' networks. We do not allow attempts to request/offer/buy/sell/trade/share invites or accounts. We will even add flair to your username after verification.
