If you want more variety in your choice of fills, their are tons of MIDI loops (many that are free) on the internet. S2.0 gives you the sounds and the interface. You also get new MIDI files with each new expansion kit to add to your arsenal. EZ has great sounding expansion packs that are pretty cheap considering. There's nothing really too artful there.but then is a machine so. It's all just big dumb explosions in ez.and train beats and all this crap that makes dumb people go 'wow.that sure is cool'. They go from fills that do/ change up virtually not at all.to these insane fills that sound like they are being played by an octopus on speed.with nothing in between. They got nothing.even in the Nashville kit that can do normal, deft, country tracks.even their brushes sound like the kit's being hit with a sledge hammer. Do it back to back so your ears can hear the diff.Įxcept they suck unless you like things that are over complicated with fills that are the equivalent of big cool explosions in movies that all the dumb people like. Listen to ALL of the demos for them and go from there. SSD 3.0 is setup well for the Roland V Drums SSD 3.0 uses Kontakt Player which is super easy to use. In terms of ease of use, Superior 2.0 is easier than BFD, AD is easier than BFD They sound cool but you have to like the sound there
They are ready to go, stick them in your track and done. If your needs are such that you DONT want to fool around with EQ, COMP etc then Steven Slate 3.0 is the one since he has already EQ'd, Compressed them for you. I have not tried BFD 2 so I cant comment on that, great sounds though and Platinum Samples makes great add on kits for it You can find whatever sound you need, Same with BFD 2įXPANSION (BFD 2) app is very CPU sucking from what Ive been told. Toontrack (Superior 2.0, EZ Drummer) are ALWAYS coming out with new kits. I couldnt really give them a thumbs up here, terrible and SLOW.ĪLso, if you dont like the mapping of the kit, you CANT change it, youll have to do that from your controller or setup a new drum map from your DAW I have AD here and its has been great, easy interface, great sound (Only 3 kits though),Į-Drum setup sucks from what I hear, doesnt compare to S2.0, BFD 2 or SSD 3.ĪD addition of new kits and communication from XLN has been next to nothing. They have some whack in the sound if you will, one kit is a TAMA, how could it not. If you want a more processed sound then Addictive Drums (Good fro basic ROCK).
These two allow you the most is terms of starting your sound from scratch and making it what you want with adding EQ, COMP, EFFECTS after you find the kit sounds you want. If a NATURAL sound is what your after Id go with Superior 2.0 or BFD 2. I guess it was done in response to someone, questioning RB's capabilities.Īs far as i understand.but ask the poster, all instruments were RB etc.
One of many different songs youll see done by users of RB youll find on the site. I'm impressed by it.but its a bit on the pricey side for the everything pack.Īnd this is a hilarious song done by a realband user,
